It is with great pleasure and much expectation that I welcome,on behalf of our sponsors and hosts, Trojan Leisure and Seabird Hotels, all competitors, supporters and friends to the 2008 Jersey Festival of Pool.

Over the last 23 years, the Jersey Festival has developed into the biggest and longest running English pool event of it's kind in the world, a fact, as organiser, I take much pride in.

There are many reasons so many people return year after, but underniably the biggest, as most regulars will confirm,is the special atmosphere that dominates the week and it's something I invite all newcomers to savour in 2008.

As you will see on the booking form on the back page, we can sort out all your accommodation and travel arrangements. Most though will undoubtedly want to source their own flights on the internet.

This is fine,indeed we actively encourage it. For those booking early,which is advisable ( we sold out the main hotel in December last year ) not only can you make large savings you will be able to to choose from a wide variety of airports,international and local as well.

Lastly and to highlight what a busy week of pool the festival is. Apart from the main events advertised in the brochure, we also paid out a staggering £4,000 in 'flyers' last year.

As organiser I look forward to seeing you all in February,in what,undoubtedly is the best pool event of the year.
